Music Meme

Part 2 of 3

11) A song that you never get tired of

I love this mixture of rap and rock. OTOH I almost never hear the song anymore, so, who knows.

Linkin Park, In The End

12) A song from your preteen years

I didn’t really listen to music back then, but I did watch entirely too much TV.

Schoolhouse Rock, Pronouns

13) One of your favorite 70s songs

There are so many! I’ll go with …Kansas, Carry on My Wayward Son

14) A song that you would love to be played at your wedding

I don’t think I can think of a song. In fact, the most romantic song that comes to mind is Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters, which is definitely not wedding material.

15) A song that is a cover by another artist

Garbage and Screaming Females, Because The Night

16) One of your favorite classical songs

I don’t really have favorite classical songs, but here’s the Harlem Boys Choir singing We Shall Overcome. Because awesome.

17) A song that you would sing along with on karaoke

If that ever did happen, it might be to a great song that doesn't actually have a lot of singing, like this one:
Lou Reed, Walk On The Wild Side

18) A song from the year that you were born

I didn't listen to a lot of music that year but since I am older than dirt, how about some old stuff? Carl Orff and Co., O Fortuna

19) A song that makes you think about life

Don Henley’s New York Minute.

20) A song that has many meanings to you

I…have absolutely no idea what that means. So I’m going to go with Clannad, a wonderful band who often sing in Gaelic, a language I absolutely don't understand. :)

Clannad, Buachaill Ón Éirne

I watched School House Rock every Saturday morning. I learned more from it than I did at school. I also love, love, love that Kansas song. I remember when it was released because I am older than dirt.
